We have already heard the album's lead single "Hood Star" and the recent one "Girlfriend". But now we're able to hear a brand new song of Face Off. The recently leaked track is titled "Slam" and features R&B singer Chris Brown. I'm feeling the song! It has a great chorus.

NEW SINGLE: Leona Lewis – Angel

UK singing sensation Leona Lewis really appears to be on the road to super stardom. Her current single 'Bleeding Love' stormed to the top of the Official UK Singles Chart today with sales in excess of 220,000. In the wake of her chart success, Leona's next single 'Angel' has surfaced. Prodcued by Stargate, the song's sound is very similar to the many overplayed 'Irreplaceable'-type songs that have been making the rounds as of late. The track isn't bad, however it lacks originality but I still like it. Anyway, Leona's highly-anticipated debut album due for release on November 12th and the US early next year. Check out the song below:

NEW NEWS: Kelis – Dropped From Label

It has been confirmed that singer Kelis has been released her record label Jive. The 'Milkshake' singer saw the most success with her 2003 album 'Tasty', however her most recent effort, 2006's 'Kelis Was Here', didn't fare too well on the charts. "She's a different kind of artist — very image and style-driven. It's either something you get or you don't" said her manager Jeff Rabhan. He went on to confirm that she is currently shopping around for a new 'non-traditional' deal.

I'm surprised, yet not at the same time. Despite her last album pretty much tanking, she still released three singles (and videos) and toured as well. - so I assumed the label support was there. I like her whole look and music so I hope she gets picked up by another label soon. However, the she is already working on a new record as she confirmed some months ago via a British newspaper.

NEW SONG: Mario - If

With Mario set to drop his third studio LP 'Go!' on November 27th, an exclusive new track titled 'If' has surfaced. Upon first listen, some of you will recognize the lyrics from Beyonce's rendition of the song (from the 'B'Day Deluxe), as well as the beat - which samples Trey Songs current single 'Can't Help But Wait'. Though the track will not be featured on the album, it's still definitely worth a listen. But I am sorry I personally prefer Beyonce’s version of the song. Anyways see what u think below:

NEW PIC: Cherish – Promo Pic

Check out this new promotional pic for R&B collective Cherish. The sisters are currently prepping the release of their sophomore effort 'The Truth' - which is set to drop March 28th 2008. I'm guessing this pic indicates the new look they're going for this time around; I'm liking it.

NEW VIDEO: Sean Paul - Watch Dem Roll

The video for Sean Paul's new single 'Watch Dem Roll' from his upcoming studio album due for release later this year surfaced earlier this week. I can't say I'm a fan of the song - particularly as a single. Considering Sean usually delivers with his first singles, the song is just ok, as is the Rich Newey directed video. NEW PERFOMANCE: Ashanti - God Bless America

R&B singer Ashanti performed "God Bless America" for the first game of the MLB World Series in Boston on Wednesday night. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, the girl gave me goose bumps all over. Ashanti’s upcoming studio album entitled "The Declaration" hits stores on February 2008.

NEW PERFOMANCE/SONG: Leona Lewis - Loose Women

2006 "The X Factor" winner and Singing sensation Leona Lewis is hitting the promotional trail hard this week to support the release of her new single 'Bleeding Love' and upcoming album "Spirit" (due out on November 12th - UK). She stopped by daytime talk show 'Loose Women' earlier on today to perform the track. Though not initially a fan of the song, I'm obsessed with it especially each time she performs it - vocally she was overly on-point.

In other news, 'Bleeding Love' is set to become the fastest-selling UK single this year, after going on-sale this Monday. The track is guaranteed the #1 spot come Sunday when the official numbers are announced.

And now for the songs that have surfaced, all I have to say is Mariah Carey be scared.
First is her cover of ‘Loving You’, amazing from here vocals to the serene modern beat. Then there’s ‘Breathe’ tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnneee. The last one is ‘Its All 4 U’ I love the melody/beat and is a great song to listen this winter. This looks like it will be one of the best albums of 07.

NEW NEWS: Michael Jackson - Re-Release 'Thriller'

According to Fox News columnist Roger Friedman, Pop superstar Michael Jackson is preparing to release a revamped version of his best-selling LP 'Thriller'. Rapper/producer Kanye West is among those lined up to contribute to the project. Check out the report below:

Michael Jackson is involved in putting together a 25th anniversary edition of his best-selling album, “Thriller.” Those with long memories will recall that “Thriller” is considered the biggest-selling pop album of all time, succeeding Carole King’s “Tapestry” and Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon” and breaking every record it came near.

Jackson’s new music attorney, Peter Lopez, told me on Tuesday that about four of the original “Thriller” tracks are being remixed as “extras” for the CD package. Kanye West, Akon and will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas are supposed to be doing that work. The songs are “Billie Jean,” “The Girl Is Mine,” “Wanna Be Starting Something” and “Pretty Young Thing.”

In addition, Lopez says that four tracks left off “Thriller” in 1983 will be included. Jackson’s longtime producer Bruce Swedien, who no longer works with the pop star, told me that one track he knows of is a killer. It’s called “Don’t Be Messin’ Around.” Swedien doesn’t know any of the other tracks left off the album but said there may be some out there.

Though I'd much prefer Michael to drop his long-awaited new album sooner rather than later, I guess this will wet the appetite of his fans, whilst re-introducing him to the masses.

NEW VIDEO: Mary J. Blige – Just Fine

I'm really liking what both Mary and director Chris Applebaum came up with; The video's simply hot!! I love everything about it; Mary's looks, the effects, outfits, the dancing and all the scenarios. Really coool video, the little Michael Jackson homage at the end was a nice touch. Whith this song we see a happy go lucky mary , it'll be interesting to hear what her album Growing Pains due out on November 27th sounds like.

NEW SINGLE: Alicia Keys – Like You’ll Never See Me Again

With Alicia Keys' current single 'No One' riding high on the charts, the next single from her new album 'As I Am' has surfaced. Timbaland production, 'Like You'll Never See Me Again' is a soulful slow jam which sees Alicia coo effortlessly over the beat. It's a welcome change to hear a Timbaland production that differs to a lot of what he has put out for other artists as of late. The video for the song was filmed earlier this month and should premiere in the coming weeks. Alicia's album 'As I Am' drops on November 13th.

NEW PICS: Trina - Album Promo Pics

Check out these brand new pics/advertisements for the forthcoming album of female rapper Trina entitled "Still The Baddest" (formerly titled 'Da Baddest Bitch II0 due for release on February 12th 2008.

There's no doubt she looks good but come on now! It's not only the bullet she's biting...it's Rihanna's 'style' too. Considering the fact that I feel that whole Rihanna look is contrived, it only makes Trina look like she's jumping on the bandwagon - late as well.

What's more, the highly-stylized nature of the pics kinda clash with the album's title. Anyway, 'Still Da Baddest' drops February 12th 2008. The album's first single is the track "Single Again" and Trina will shoot the music video in the coming weeks in Miami. To hear the albums frist single click here:

NEW VIDEO: Common - I Want You

Chi-Town rapper Common really has been bringing 'it' with the videos from his current CD 'Finding Forever' (released this past July), with his latest offering being 'I Want You'. Interestingly, the vid was directed by actress Kerry Washington and features cameos from the likes of Alicia Keys, Will.I.Am, Kanye West and Serena Williams. I'm liking the song and the vid; it's just a shame that Common doesn't receive the acclaim he deserves.

NEW TRACKS: Chris Brown – ‘Exclusive’

I cant wait until the new Chris Brown album entitled "Exclusive" hits stores Nov.6 and three new tracks have leaked from the new album.

The first is Fire which for me is a great track, from the beat to his vocals and some of the lyrics. For some strange reason I got a hint of Beyonce in the vocal arrangement, do not ask why but I did.

The second is the third single 'With You' which is Produced by Stargate, the song has a distinctive resemblance to Beyonce's 'Irreplaceable' (hence similar to Rihanna's 'Hate That I Love You also), this most probably as to why I really like it, I feel the track is solid and has some cross-over potential.

titled ‘Down’ and features rapper Kanye West. I’m really feeling the track and getting kanye to feature on the track was a smart move. I love the sound and feel of track, the electric guitar ads a good touch. This track is the best of the bunch.

I'm still of the opinion that Chris' new album won't do as well as the first due to the lack of hype surrounding the project. The current single 'Kiss Kiss' is #1 on the iTunes chart - meaning it's set for a big rise on the Billboard chart in this coming week. I am quite impressed with his album so far and all three are solid tracks. Check them out below and see what you think:

NEW NEWS: Mariah Carey - ‘M’ Fragrance

Singing Diva Mariah Carey stopped by BET's "106th & Park" on Monday to promote her new fragrance called "M by Mariah Carey":

Mariah spoke with the Billboard.com recently regarding her new album. Here's what she had to say:

"It's hard for me to sit here and talk about it without sounding like I'm bragging if I'm in love with it, but I'm in love with this album," she says. "I think that having the success with the last record allowed me to have more freedom and just make records that I like. It's kind of a really fun record" Mimi's new CD is out on February 2008.

SOURCE: Mariah Carey - Interview

I'm really hoping she comes with the goods. Sources are claiming that the album's sound is somewhat different to her last effort, with several rappers reportedly featured. I guess, like the rest, we'll have to wait to next February.
